Cheerleading 2026

Girls ages 7-12 ( Must be 8 on or before 10/1 and must not be 13 on or before 10/1)

( IF YOU LIVE IN ALLEGHANY COUNTY OR HAVE PLAYED WITH US BEFORE YOU ARE ELIGABLE TO SIGN UP, IF YOU LIVE IN THE CITY OF COVINGTON AND HAVE NEVER PLAYED IN OUR LEAGUE YOU NEED TO REGISTER WITH THE CITY OF COVINGTON)

Registration begins in May , Late Registration begins July 17th.

A League - 11-12 years old (Must turn 11 years old on or before 10/1 and may not turn 13 on or before 10/1)

B League - 9-10 years old (Must turn 9 years old on or before 10/1 and may not turn 11 on or before 10/1)

C League - 7-8 years old (Must turn 7 years old on or before 10/1 and may not turn 9 on or before 10/1)


**Age groups may change/be combined based on participation

All Cheerleading fundraisers must be pre-approved by the Director or Recreation Supervisor.

Practices begin in August and games begin in September.

The Cheerleading teams will be assigned to a certain football team who they cheer on.

Cheerleading is a great sport for girls to join a community and have fun. Uniforms are provided by the Recreation Department.

Youth Football 2026

Open to ages 7-12

( IF YOU LIVE IN ALLEGHANY COUNTY OR HAVE PLAYED WITH US BEFORE YOU ARE ELIGABLE TO SIGN UP, IF YOU LIVE IN THE CITY OF COVINGTON AND HAVE NEVER PLAYED IN OUR LEAGUE YOU NEED TO REGISTER WITH THE CITY OF COVINGTON)

Registration begins in May. Late Registration begins July 15th

Practices begin in August and games begin in September.

A League - 11-12 years old -  (Must turn 11 on or before 10/1 and may not turn 13 on or before 10/1)

B League - 9-10 years old - (Must turn 9 years old on or before 10/1, and may not turn 11 on or before 10/1)

C League - 7-8 years old - (Must turn 7 years old on or before 10/1, and may not turn 9 on or before 10/1)

All equipment is provided by the Parks & Recreation Department including a mouth guard. This league is for further development of the fundamentals while being full contact.
